A Quiet Beauty
If you know me even just a little by now, you would know that I spend a lot of time mucking about in the woods near our home here in Helsinki. In all seasons. Under all conditions.
So, here I am finally getting round to Chris over at Dancing on Frozen Beaver Ponds who asked me back in December 2015 (!) to do a 7-Day Nature series.
This is the first of my collection from the all-weather terrain that I have weathered. (With joy. Oftentimes with frozen fingers and toes!)
And have found startling beauty every single time.
Absolutely beautiful!😊
Thank you for visiting! It’s been great getting to know you and your family. Sharon
So full of depth and grace: inspired meditation. Thank you for this morning offering and beauty, Sharon. 🙂
Beautiful photos that capture a beauty and grace to the snowy scene. Thanks Sharon. 🙂
I love the shadows/contrasts and textures, Sharon. Beautiful!
Thank you dear Russ! You bless me so! Sharon
Exquisite contours in the picture on the left. 🙂
Thank you Hariod. Nature’s very own sculpture! Sharon x

Me too! Thank you Valorie! I hope this finds you well! Happy Spring! Sharon x
Beauty and grace 💛
Very beautiful, I love the different shades of greys in the shadows in the image in the left. Wonderful photos!
A quiet beauty indeed! ❤
Oh, so looking forward to the rest of this series! ❤ Beautiful! Hope your winter has gone well!
So glad you like the shots Lumi 🙂 I’m excited about posting the rest of the series as well. It’s foggy and misty outside today. So atmospheric and all I want to do is to be inside cocooned with a hot cup of tea. But the forest beckons. Happy Spring! Sharon x
Happy spring to you too, Sharon! 🙂
Sharon, You have captured such a beautiful moment in our ever changing world! It has now become a scene to revisit….even though it may no longer exist! It’s a very simple, yet I find, equally powerful artistic picture. Beautiful 🙂
The first image is just breathtaking Sharon! What came to mind was abundance and sensual with its curves and shadows- I look forward to seeing more!
Wonderful pictures of absolute peace, Sharon! Thank you!
The silence and contemplation of winter is a solace to the soul. Hugs dear Tiny! Sharon
Hugs to you too, dear Sharon! My visit to see my 92 yo dad in December was so hurried that I only spent about an hour at Helsinki airport, but if I get the project we are applying for, I’m going to spend some days in Helsinki next summer and fall. Maybe kahvi and pulla?
Oh that would be something to look forward to Tiny! I was away in December for winter hols. Hugs and to kahvi and pulla 🙂 x
It’s a deal 🙂

This was well worth the wait! Lovely posts, all 3 so far Sharon. It’s been awhile since we touched base, I hope that all is well with you and your family. Life is good on the north shore of Nova Scotia, as you can tell, both writing and photos are few and far between for me these days. My appreciation of the world we live in, deepens daily. Thank you for mentioning Dancing on Frozen Beaver Ponds. Much love and warm thoughts! Chris
Ah so good to hear from you Chris! Write to me when you can. It is always a joy to my heart when you share your thoughts and life’s moments. Lots to catch up. Hope you will like the next few installments coming up in the next few days. To deepening appreciation of life. Hugs, Sharon
Helsinki must be such a beautiful place and cold of course! Can’t wait to see more, lovely photos.
Helsinki is a charming place with lots of beautiful nature all around. I’m sure where you are is stunning too Jodie! I just came back from a morning in the woods with my camera. Let’s see what we got 😀
Such peace. xxoo
That is so beautiful.
Sharon,
It has been a long time away for me. Neither writing nor reading.
But these amazing images pulled me back from what has seemed the “busyness” of life.
The images that Nature created and you had the artistic vision to render are not only stunningly beautiful but they inspire me to try and express the way in which my connection with the natural world has been a foundation of my own spiritual existence. I’ll try.
You are a treasure.
Kindest regards,
Tom
Beauty at its peak! I need to be in a place like that. You’re an amazing photographer!
Thank you so much for such a kind message! Warmest greetings, Sharon
