Gone for the winter
Following in the footsteps of bears and other creatures of the forest which retreat to a place of rest and quiet this time of the year, I too am going away for a while just to be still.
Thank you for taking the time to read my scribblings and sharing with me on this journey of learning, growing and living. I hope you have enjoyed this blog as much as I have enjoyed creating this little nook for expressing myself here.
Will be back again when the bears awake from winter’s hibernation! Sign up if you haven’t already to receive notification the next time I write something here.
Even in the busyness of the season, I wish you and your loved ones a time of quiet and meaningful reflection as the year comes to an end. May the New Year be a clean slate to start afresh, hope again and may it hold within its days gems of untold riches waiting to be discovered by you!
You need not do anything. Remain sitting at your table and listen. You need not even listen, just wait. You need not even wait, just learn to be quiet, still and solitary. And the world will freely offer itself to you unmasked. It has no choice, it will roll in esctasy at your feet.
Franz Kafka, 1883-1924 “Learn To be Quiet”
Have a nice time!..enjoy warmer lands, delicious food and great company….and just laugh as much as you can…I will be missing your interesting posts and wonderful pictures, so let’s hope this retreat will bring you more inspiration and nice views..
My dear Rosa, thank you! I promise to do all the above. Especially the belly-shaking-pee-in-the-pants kind of laughter that can be heard a few houses down the street! 😀
Enjoy your break my dear friend. 🙂 I think I need to do that too..learn to let go of blogging and fb for a while and enjoy the short holidays before 2012 begins. At the mention of 2012, my heart is palpitating already. haha… Ah, how I wish for a year of sabbatical..free of any duties or work, but alas..not possible for the moment. HUgs and Blessed Christmas to you and fmaily.
Be still, dear palpitating heart! 😀 Rest easy my friend. Loving greetings to all at home!
Can’t wait to see you! Love always, Deshan’s godma
